An interactive practical guide for developing high-quality products, software solutions, and print media. The website consolidates key fundamentals regarding design, design processes, typography, color, layout, UX, brand experience, accessibility, and design systems. Filters, a search function, and practical checklists help users systematically evaluate designs and make well-founded design decisions.
The Rescueboard is a design concept for an electrically powered rescue board intended to ease the workload of lifeguards and assist in the rescue of people in distress. A low-profile deck, controls at both the cockpit and stern, and grab handles running along the perimeter accommodate various rescue scenarios. The project page showcases the design, technical details, and realistic visualizations of the board in use via an interactive image gallery.
The "Droppult" is a design concept for a compact, swiveling writing and storage surface that attaches to suitable smooth surfaces using three suction cups. Whether at home, in the studio, or on a construction site, it provides space for notes, sketches, and plans, and can be folded away to save space after use. The project page illustrates its construction and application through realistic visualizations and an interactive 3D viewer featuring two switchable model positions.
Balance Bike – a versatile children's vehicle with a clear design language The "Balance Bike" project showcases the development of a distinctive children's vehicle featuring a minimalist, robust construction and striking design. The frame was engineered to allow for various geometries and seating positions, enabling the bike to be adjusted to different body sizes. Beyond function, stability, and ergonomics, the focus was placed on creating a high-quality product with a playful aesthetic. 3D models and realistic usage scenarios illustrate the construction, model variations, and how the bike is used.
Two design options demonstrate how assemblies for a computer cabinet can be designed to be clear and user-friendly. The first option integrates display and control functions directly into the slim modules. The second supplements a central monitoring unit with a removable handheld device, making system status information accessible on the go and assisting maintenance personnel with servicing and troubleshooting. Product renderings and application scenarios illustrate the interplay between modular architecture, clear design, and practical operation.
A web-based application for sending and receiving Morse code messages via smartphone. Text input is automatically converted into Morse code and transmitted as light signals using the smartphone's flashlight. Conversely, the app detects incoming Morse light signals via the smartphone camera and automatically translates them back into readable text. Sent and received messages are displayed in a conversation view and can be saved, loaded, and exported. The application is optimized for mobile use and can be used directly via the smartphone's web browser as a web app. (Currently iOS only)
